In case you did not know, the Stump Lake valve is partially open and due to either a malfunction or a broken piece of the glide that raises and lowers the gate. The plan is to seek out a contractor to come in and pull the valve to get it repaired. Once the contractor is scheduled, the Stump Lake will be lowered to a point where the valve can be pulled and taken to the machine shop for repair. The projected date for lowering of the Stump Lake will be the weekend after Labor Day. Once the lake is down, the repair will be completed and the valve will be closed. At that point, the Ski Lake valve will be opened and lowered 4 to 5' for regular maintenance, allowing that water to help partially fill the Stump Lake.
